Tale of Two Cities. Series Producer.
I produced a series of three events exploring gentrification in the city taking place at Goldsmiths University; Bush Hall & Rich Mix: representing different corners of the city and in particular areas undergoing rapid gentrification.
A collaboration between Decolonising Our Minds and Take Back The City, Tale of Two Cities brought together young artists from across London to share their stories of the city. We celebrate art as the expression of resistance, but also art as the opportunity for respite and healing.
Performers included Big Zuu, Caleb Femi, Lex Amor and Mad Professor.
Co-Curators: Zahra Delilah and Zain Dada

Black Cultural Activism Map. Contributing Artist.
I was selected to produce new work for the Black Activism Map initiated by the Stuart Hall Foundation and curated by Farzana Khan. Black Activism Map was featured in the Guardian and The Quietus.
I used crowdsourced, user-generated footage from young people in West London of their neighbourhoods, which was counter-posed against glossy real estate promotional videos of West London to explore the tale of two cities reality of the neighbourhood.
“I am struck by the work of filmmaker Dhelia Snoussi. She shot on the streets around Ladbroke Grove using her phone camera. Such gentle and deft beauty mesmerizingly draws us into the pre-gentrification spirit of the place and her experience of growing up there.” - James, Platform London
