Tale of Two Cities. Series Producer.
I produced a series of three events exploring gentrification in the city taking place at Goldsmiths University; Bush Hall & Rich Mix: representing different corners of the city and in particular areas undergoing rapid gentrification.
A collaboration between Decolonising Our Minds and Take Back The City, Tale of Two Cities brought together young artists from across London to share their stories of the city. We celebrate art as the expression of resistance, but also art as the opportunity for respite and healing.
Performers included Big Zuu, Caleb Femi, Lex Amor and Mad Professor.
Co-Curators: Zahra Delilah and Zain Dada

Decolonising Our Minds. Producer and Co-Founder (2015)
I co-founded Decolonising Our Minds, a society that began at SOAS to deconstruct the legacies of colonialism and its persistence in everyday modern society.
I co-produced over 50 events with Decolonising Our Minds, including talks, panels, spoken word and poetry nights to create spaces to have conversations on these topics, which weren't extensively covered in the SOAS curriculum.
Over two years, we hosted international speakers including Teju Cole, Def Jam poet Shihan, director Cecile Emeke, as well as Heems and The Last Poets.
Collaborators included Rich Mix, ArtsAdmin, Bush Hall, Pluto Books, Islamic Human Rights Commission and more. Our events also attracted attention from national media such as Fader, Dazed and the Guardian.
